Chicks are protected, confined, confined to be protected, or protected to be confined. They are being used for our viewing pleasure and potentially tasting pleasure. One may feel sorry for them, or may just get entertained as I did.

There was a black chick, an especially impressive one.
Believe it or not, black chickens are known to be more delicious and nutritious. There skin inside is still white though; I don't know how one can tell if it is a black chicken once it's cooked. One may have to see the black chicken being killed before getting cooked to make sure it is the black chicken one is going to eat.
